I got a fairly old Mac (upgraded a few years ago to OS 9). It may not sound too old, but it's currently the only working computer I have, and the only one with internet access. Pity me

I like the idea on the servo done it awhile ago i used IR tho so i could use my the remote to do it or get the PC to send out a IR signal to do it.

it's a huge website of links to cool projects

Only recent project i've done thats not portable is my carpc

i'll post some pics later on when i've fully finished it all

bicostp, I envy you so much, my dad at some point had a bunch of Macs similar to what you posted and then some, I think at one point we had 10 or so lying around, but then he started giving them to relatives or selling them. I miss them so much, OS 6 and 7, the good ole' days.
Mulletman, there is no need of pity, OS 9 is an awesome operating system, rock on.

ahh i remember the "good ole days" of before i was born, i have 2 amiga computers circa 1986/87 and they are awesome! i love the obscure and obsolete! i am such a weird teenager when i think about it. i collect old computers old videogames old cameras (a lot of em, over 40 now) and for a time old radios. i love my junk

I've used that old SE/30 since I was 4. (still the same harddrive in it too. There's old "once upon a time" files named "ghdfuydfgs" stlll hanging around.

Anyone remember the LaserWriter II? Or the ImageWriter?

Thank you for helping me realize that most people on this board were born in or after 1990.

Damn, I feel old.

AAAANYWAYS, I'm putting together a Discreet FET guitar pre-amp to put in a Roland EV-5 volume pedal that I've already modded with 1/4" in/outs. All I need are the right resistors....

After that I'm gonna build a media-pc with a mini-itx board (VIA's EPIA M10000), much like this one. I'll be putting mine into a coffee/end table, incorporating a power strip and a pass through for a lamp, and sticking an IR receiving video card (Sigma Design's XCard) into it.

Oh, and if you never used Apple IIe's in grade school, you don't qualify for old.

You're my hero. And of course I remember the LaserWriter and ImageWriter, we owned both at some point, I want to say we still have the box for one of them (not the printer, just the box, lol) in our attic storing some crud.

I think I have a Powerbook 5300 seed unit, I'h have to check again.

And the old Apple mouse (The 9 pin serial one.)
