Possible "n00b" solution?

Hey Guys,

Seeing as there seems to be a bitter distaste for total "n00bs" around here, a lot of questions remain unanswered, (usually already answered elsewhere, and people get tired of repeat questions.) Why is there not a n00b specific webpage/forum? Anyone interested in doing that? It would make it easier on everyone to just say, "Go here and then purchse Ben's Book, if you have any further questions or find something we didn't post then feel free to ask." I realize that's the entire purpose of this forum, but it just seems that people have to do a lot of looking and arguably everyone wants quick and easy answers so they just post a new question. Usually when you finally do find the information it is still rather vague and old and you have to read many subsequent posts that generally don't offer any information. Also I assume there are a few things not covered in Ben's book, I'm waiting for my copy so I haven't read it yet, but maybe if there was just a big link page to things like electronics 101 or a Hip Gear/PSone/etc. wiring page and so forth may prove its worth. I realize that no one is just gonna jump at giving themselves a whole bunch of work, but it would do nothing but benefit everyone if people volunteered to do that kinda thing. Ah, just a suggestion, no one has to listen.

no offence to you becuase you bring up a good point. but if people would LISTEN and JUST LOOK at what is on these forums they would have probably better than 70% of the info they need for their various projects a few things:
1. there are these things called STICKIES that have information in them they are at the TOP of all the sections of the forum, READ the stickies they help.
2. there is this thing called the SEARCH button, i admit it isnt that good but try and use it.
3. there are OTHER websites that have info on them doomportables is a good example and has a lot of info.

i admit the idea of a portablizing info megasite would be awesome, but we would need a lot of help a forum wide collaberation to make the best resource for portable consoles on the internet! i think its a great idea! what you all think, it would be hard but i think with everyone helping out we could have somthing like POD but so much more! i will think on this some more.

we should really sticky that post primer video on Newgrounds. It would probably help a LOT.
