The hardware looks rather impressive, but without good games it is useless.

you know whats great about this?

Three (yes three) 3.0ghz PowerPC G5 processors.......designed by apple and built by IBM

the same one apple uses in it's computers.....except more powerful.....isnt it ironic? a microsoft machine using apple tech

as for the HDD....it will be optional. the memory cards will be 64mb to 1gb, the optical drive a dual layer DVD-9 setup, hdtv capable, 256mb system ram, i think the same for vram.....high power nvidia video card.......I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANt I WANT

I do wish the console companies would stop chincing on the RAM. A system as powerful as that is going to be hindered with that low of RAM. They ought to give it at least a gig or two.

i know what you mean i wanted to know the price, launch titles, backward compatiblity with xbox but they just made it in to one big concert with a system in the middle of it.

I'm betting you don't know what MTV is. I'll tell you, its crap, they don't know what theyre doing, and it's probably the biggest waste of airspace imaginable.

actually, no they have only as much as they need. see, all they need is enough for the game. the reason PCs need so much ram is that they need to run both the operating system and thegame, but consoles dont have the operating system middle man, so they dont need as much ram.

the original xbox had only 64mb ram, and look at the power it had.
