PSP has a GB emulator!

WHOEVER HAS AN IMPORTED 1.0 PSP DON'T UPDATE.

It's not worth it, all you can get is a couple of languages and a security hole, that allows homebrewers to play games via memory stick, patched.

This is amazing, as soon as firmware 1.0 and 1.5 are dumped then we can really see some good stuff. We just have to find the hole in 1.5, or wait until sony/third party releases games that are playable via the memory stick.

Someone, test it out and post a picture.

If I had a PSP I would have this before I could blink. But sadly...<shrug>
Looks awesome.

So I take it it runs off the memory stick? cool. Too bad he didn't code it to stretch the screen to full screen (scaled so it's still square.) Yet another reason the PSP is better than the DS! It can play GB and GBC games w/o an expensive flashg cart!

GBA emulation can't be far behind...

No all I need is the PSP... and the memory sticks... and the ROMS... and the emulator... *sigh. Oh well. I still like to play SMBDX on my GBC! :P

A japanese PSP. We just need 1.5 to be dumped, they are releasing 1.51 with more security so there has to be a hole somewhere.

It also has no sound, but hey, who's to complain? We'll probably see loads more emulators later. Then in a couple of months someone will crack 1.5 after everyone has gone to 2.0

nice what about a PSone Emulator if i knew how to write stuff like that for PSPand if i had a PSP i would try it

edit= How do you get MP3s on your PSP (im concidering buying one) does it have a USB port and you hock it up to your computer and your PC will read the PSP ans a new drive to let you put stuff on the MS like music or downloaded save games?

EDIT AGAIN? On AOTS they showed the gbfPSP (as i call it) and they said it only works with Japanese games

1) PSone Emulator would be possible, but controls may be a problem.

2) MP3s are easy to get on, if you have MAC OSX or Win2000/XP. Just buy a onesided USB type-b (other side is type-a) cord and plug in. If you have anyother sony device that hooks up to the PC use that cable. Then go to the MP3 folder and drag and drop in.

But if you want an MP3 player, don't get this. It's nice for maybe twenty songs but really no more. Doesn't feel durable. But if you want it for a movie, some songs, and lots of games this is the system for you.

3) It works for all GB games, the GB has no region locks. The JP systems were sent standard with firmware version 1.0, while US systems were sent with 1.5. The emulator only works on 1.0 as of now, so if you are in the UK import. And if you are in the US and don't care about the expensive UMD movies then import.
