Batman Begins opens in almost a month!!!

Does anyone think this movie won't suck? Judging by LAST SUMMER'S "Catwoman" (which was originally supposed to be a tie in) I feel that it might! Then on the other hand it's going up against Star Wars 6, so then again, it might not. So does anyone think that there will be a revival of Batmania like there was in '89? Of course many of you weren't around then or don't remember! I was a freshman in high school then, and was hooked on Contra and Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES! I think that Batman '89 was cool only because Tim Burton Directed it! Hopefully this Nolan guy does a good job. I doubt he will though, just by judging by some of the photgraphs I've seen from the movie website. I remember first reading about Batman '89 in "Starlog" and seeing the visuals from Burton's movie. And I said to myself, "Man I have to see this !" But of course, back then I thought of Batman as Adam West, and never the Dark Knight Avenger as Burton gave us on the silver screen! Just imagine if it were Schumacher, and not Burton who directed the '89 movie! That's a scary thought! One thing that I think will always hold true about every contemporary Batman movie is that they always have a hot babe, especially the one in the upcoming movie! The one thing I already don't like about the new movie is that Bale guy who plays Batman is the same age as me! That makes me feel old!

There's definetly hope for this one. Although it looks like they might have gone a a little too far trying to reinvent the franchise, have you seen the batmobile?! IT'S A FREAKIN 3 WHEELER!
At least they got rid of the infamous bat nipples

I'm definetly gonna go see it even if it does suck. I did for all the others, why should I stop now?

Mebe we should have a forum for discussing movies. I would love to trash Star Wars episode 2

BTW, it's technically Star Wars 3. The 1977 ones were the middle 3 of the 9-part franchise. Then 1,2, and 3 were made. 7,8, and 9 might never egt made, because (according to Lucas) he's not making them. He must be tired of 20 years of Star Wars.

Hell no! He's not tired of SW. There was a TV guide article this week or last week or something. He said he wasnt making 7-9, but rather wants to remake the current 6 in 3D (WTF?). Aside from that, there are supposedly going to be some TV shows featuring some unpopular SW characters or something (please make one of those Jar Jar Binks so I have a reason to kill myself).

I wish he was tired.

Yeah, now just think. A new half hour each week. Maybe they'll make a DVD release that includes some knifes or pre-noose-toed ropes.

No I meant episode 2. I RREEEEAAAALLLY hated it. I will never get tired of saying how much I hated it. Episode 1 was tolerable though.
I fear Edpisode 3 will totally suck, I mean have you seen the guy who plays anakin in the Vader suit?! He dosn't even fit in it!

No, I was correcting Lupin. He's saying Batman will be up against Satr Wars 6, but Star Wars 6 came out in 1977 or 78.

actually, the batmobile in batman begins closely resembles the batmobile of "The Dark Knight Returns" which is easily the greatest batman story ever told (and why the hell not? its by frank miller of current sin city fame). coincidently (or not), miller also wrote a batman: year one comic which was being considered as the basis for the batman begins movie.

I gave up on the new Star Wars Movies after seeing episode 1. I thought it was too much of a let down after waiting so long since the last movie. I think the one before came out when I was 9. Speaking of hype, I saw last summer's Harry potter movie and thought it sucked. Does anyone feel the same way as I do! I've tried to read the books and watch the movies, and I just can't swallow it! I think that the movies try to be dark and mysterious, but to me they're just lame!
