Colors?

Post by G-force »

I'm gonna spray paint my NES Pocket this week, but I'm having trouble coming up with a good color. I've narrowed it down to these (but I'm open to suggestions :) )

Silver - I found a silver that matches the DS perfectly :)

Gold - It wouldn't be a shiny gold, more of a satin gold

Mettallic Blue - Sparkly!

Cream - Original NES cream color

Flat black - cool looking, kind of old though...

Keep in mind that there will plenty of black stuff like switches, screen protector, and the D-pad. Also I'm gonna use the original red B and A buttons

Right now I'm leaning toward silver but I'm not sure yet....

Get that Dupli-color "chameleon" spray paint. It shifts colors between blues, purples, and greens depending on the angle you look at it from. 8)

Aw man, that would be awesome! Do they sell that in a spray paint can? I thought they only had it for cars.

It sucks that polls are gone, it would make this a little easier to vote on(and more fun!)

Yesh, it's sold in a spray can. 8)
EDIT: It's actually called Mirage Paint. Click the link to go to that product immediately.

Actually, I've seen it in a 3 part set. A base primer, the coloring, and a clearcoat. Check out their website- www.duplicolor.com - They also sell metalic spray paints, hammered-metal paints, and even glow-in-the-dark coating!

I like the 2 tone black and silver idea. I could paint the back satin black and the front satin silver. Heck, I might as well paint the buttons black too... Or I could paint them gray to make it DS-like!

I'll probably do that if I can't find the mirage paint. Do you know what the kit usually goes for? I would guess around $20. I'm gonna call around town tomorrow.

Does anybody know what brand of paint ben uses for his Phoenix's?

I checked around town today and the cheapest they had the Mirage paint for was $18. That seems kind of pricey just to paint a case....
I dunno, do you think it would be worth it? :?
I've never seen the paint in "action" before so I can't really tell how good it will look.
