so far I'm planning on using a VNC connection, since that has the most interactivity and all. Any suggestions as to what I do upon the actual pranking?

Well...I know some Visual Basic. What I can do is make a small program for you that he can't get out of without restarting(or using the CTRL+ALT+DEL) that says he has a bad virus or a fatal error.

Then, you set it up so that all his desktop and quicklaunch icons (or just the ones he uses the most) activate it by redirecting the shortcut paths by rightclicking on them and pasting the path of the program.

Visual Basic uses Window's standard windows and message boxes, so there is no way to tell it is fake by just looking. ^^

I can also make it so that clicking any button, even "close", acts like he's screwed it up even worse. XP

Also, you can REALLY mess with his head by leaving a bootable Linux CD in his CDROM drive, or a Menuet floppy disk in his floppy drive. (http://www.menuetos.org)

It'd open a message box saying a WORSE error happened when he tried to close it.

Also, if I give him a RAM error, like"Windows has detected an error in conventional memory. Replace the faulty memory module in Bank 0.", then I may be able to make him take off the case and start swapping out RAM all day. ^^

Or, I could say it is in the extended memory, and make it more ambiguous, so that he has to swap out ALL the modules...

It all depends on how evil you want me to be. Oh, and also how long you're willing to be grounded for. ^^*

Create a page with javascript that just keeps opening alert messages, and set it as his homepage. I have one of those on one of my sites, but it actually interacts with you. Last time I counted, I had over 2000 alerts in a row.
