First Portable N64

Well, I am doing my first portable N64. I'm going to try to be ambitious and make this as small as humanly possible. I haven't made much progress, just disassembly and stuff. I still haven't gotten a screen yet, but I already started chopping the board.

I started by removing the smd resistors and capacitors off a jumper pack and soldering them directly on the motherboard. By what I've read, the wires had to be short, so I placed the resistors as close as I could. To connect everything, I used AWG 30 wire. After doing that, I tested it and it still worked! Pic attached.

By the way, in the picture I had not removed the flux residues, but I did it afterwards.

Next on list: RCP wiring (probably with the trick on the RCP_WHAT page)

Decided to continue with something easier, chopping the bottom part. I removed it more or less until where U8 starts. I also removed U8 and the controller fuses, as those were in the discarded side. After reconnecting a pair of broken traces I covered everything in hot glue and tested. Still works.

Hey, by the way, can I take audio before the AMP-NUS, after the BU9480F?

Nice job with the jumper, you're having more luck with that already than I had.
