the thing is, id want a 100% functional P.C. built into a NES case.
with all the ports hidden in the back.

is it possible?

of course the mini itx comes with a metal back plate for use in the back of the pc cases so all u do is cut a hole in the back then add the plate.

it will make it smooth and clean

You could make a PC in a NES that just plays NES games on 3 and half inch floppy disks, or have CD's and fill them with emulated games to play NES, SNES, N64 and Playstation 1 on 1 console or something.

Or a useless project, PC in a PS1 case to play PS1 games with ePSXe! The controllers? Get a USB-to-PS2 and put them in!

hmm... now that I think about it, it's possible to make an isa interface from a pc to a nes cart (and I'm sure the same goes for PCI), so you could probably use actual carts to play on a pc

I'm pretty sure you can put a PC into an NES case. Just find yourself a small motherboard with built in video and audio. PCI and AGP cards are JUST the right size, but you would have to stick shorter faces on them, or just cut the metal down.

I think this will be my next project. I've got about 6 old comps I can play with. May start with the old 486 66 for the vintage throwback

I like the SE/30 Mac that looks completely stock. Not the Wraith SE, I grew up weith the SE line and like how it looks.

That or the portable Commodore 64 one, with the slot-load DVD drive disguised as a 5 1/4" floppy drive, and the internal LCD that takes composite video.

I already said Mini-ITX.

That portable commodore 64 (c64 SX) is a rare machine im glad he used a dead 1

They go for around $100 or more down here

Id love to get 1 but it be a waste of money still they look very cool

you could do a NEW c64 SX with a LCD and a cooler modern case that would look sweet

Im to chicken to do my c64 portable i just don't have the heart to cut the board up then jump the tracks to the componets and fold it over.

I know there is a c64 on a chip but i can't buy it

but all you'd really need to do is build a barebones shuttle P.C. with RGB outs, and usb controllers "nyko-airflow" or maybe "gravis gamepad pro's"

but it could be done.

ever seen junck machine befiore it was hacked. there was a realy anoying froum about putting minis in a nes.. there where about ahundred of the same dam nes pcs there, so i came here for some thing difrent.
