I have a good idea! Has anyone elese ever thought of building a system that plays ALL gaming formats including PS2 Ps1 Gamecube and xbox! It may b impossible but it would be cool!

Some guy put a PS2, GC, Xbox, NES, 2600, and a PC into a PC case. Google around for "yoshi's boxx". (There's a lot of sites about it.)

I'm not BS'ing you, it was in Maximum PC.

it's a mock up of a shuttle P.C.
you can tell it's a photoshop because of the controller ports, but it'd be extremely simple to make.

it would be nice to make a CD-drive based emulation station
that you could plug into a T.V. and play.
but that'd probably be expensive.

but all you'd really need to do is build a barebones shuttle P.C. with RGB outs, and usb controllers "nyko-airflow" or maybe "gravis gamepad pro's"

but it could be done.

No, he cut holes for the controller ports in the drive bay covers.

Do you have my place bugged or something? I use a Gravis GamePad Pro and a MS Sidewinder controller.

Actually u only have to buy a mini-itx and place it in the nes case.

Guy did it ages ago he used the orignal nes ports for hooking up the keyboard and mouse (some ppl used it for game pads only)

and they just used a 60w morex PSU and placed it inside the case and you wouldn't be able to tell it's not a nes as u can use all the orignal rca jacks and power jacks

only have to mod the powr button to push the power button on fpr a second not always on

Of coures, if you really want it to be authentic you can us a 555 I think to make it so you don't need to mod the power button.

i wonder how badass it would be to walk into a lan party with an NES shuttle PC. or to have one in your dorm room.

it'd be soooooo awesome. to run windows XP, on a NES.

yeah there is a nes to usb adapter.

It mkes the nes bad into a windows gamepad so nesticle can use it

i've see a machine which was just a games machine it ran atari 2600 snes nes sms genesis mame etc.

i helped him do it u use he controller to select the game u want then u hit A and when u want to exit the game u push the reset button on the nes unit.

It just ran a mame frontend and used popular emulators that were hacked to work on a mame cabinet so all the emulators would exit when esc was pushed which the reset button was used and the frontend used the Dpad to move up and down the games lista nd used start to swap which game system u used and the power button set the machine into hibernate.

very simple indeed

I have a pc in my car with a 7" XGA touchscreen and when im not using it to watch a movie play mp3's or use the gps to get me around or watch tv i use all these emulators setup in the mame fashion so i can juse use a usb gamepad to play all the games i want then i use the L2 and R2 buttons to exit the game and again to exit back to the car frontend.

works quite well and im addicted to astroboy on snes
