Looks rendered to me.

The scale of the controller vs. the disc drive is off.

Why would it have CD player buttons if the GC uses DVD technology and tiny media?

Gamecube Advance? *scoff*

But it is a great concept for the first homebrew clamshell portable!

1/ certainly rendered.
2/ GC will not be reducable to that size any time soon
3/ the proportions are all wrong - Memory card vs disc vs screen, it'd be huge.

FAKE!! nintendo would never use 1 type of game over 2 systems

they have said the gba2 will be $100 that looks more like a psp price range

Also, I'm not entirely sure, but isn't that an early pic of Wind Waker? Something about the weapon button icons seems wierd.

Hey GameIver, regarding your post on that news link, you have to remember that it has been almost 4 years since the GC was released so a portabilization by Nintendo is not a far stretch. Sega made the Nomad, and Sony the PSP so it is possible to develop the technology to reduce the size of electronics rather quickly. That said, this is a really cool concept, but I would not buy it since I have not been overly satisfied with my GC (I bought it release day) so putting $200 more would not be smart or justifiable.

yeah, an official GCp COULD be made by Nintendo (not the one shown, though

), but I'm sure they won't

.....just for the sole fact that they won't be able to make as much money because many people already have all the Gamecube games they're gonna need (and let's face it, good Gamecube games don't come out too often

...)....
