Xbox 2 coming this year! Dumb or good?

Why does everyone think Nintendo is going to fail? Contrary to popular belief, they are making a profit. They may not be making as much as the other guys, but who cares? As long as they make enough money to pay their employees and create new games/systems, then they will still be around.

As for the Rare/Donkey Kong thing, Rare sold all the Donkey Kong rights back to Nintendo once Microsoft bought them.

If Xbox 360 comes out this year, that would mean Halo 2 multiplayer wouldn't even last a year.
I think it is too soon to have new systems. It would be cool to see the new games for the systems, but I'm still saving up for a PSP. I'm more worried about how nintendo will survive. Will Revolution still be cheaper than the competition? I'm not really going "Sweeet! new system", Its not exciting knowing that you might be playing a rehash/port or an overhyped game.

Okay. So i finally saw the pictures of it and it looks pretty cool. Nice that its small. The name is kind of lame dont you think? I mean maybe 360, if it was gonna be circular, but it has nothing to do with the number 360. Im still not gonna buy one.
Heres my wish list.
1 PSp
2 Nintendo Revolution
3 Ps3
4 then maybe Xbox 360 if its better than the ps3 or revolution but probably not.
5 the next Nintendo portable.
6 the Sega box?

Maybe they should call it XBOX 2<pi-sign>. And they can put stuff on the casing like "radian * (180/<pi-sign>) = Degrees". Now that would be cool.

If you havent taken advanced math I'd be glad to go into a very long (and yes, itd be fairly long) discussion on what the heck I'm talking about.

I know, but I'm taking a course called "Advanced Math", the first have of the year was Trig. the second half is Pre-calc.

Just wait 'til you hit college level calculus. Most of your buddies will be in math 111 at the time, but you can't gloat because none of it will make sense to their weak minds

Oh, and I'd like to see how they are going to improve upon the X-box. Most likely faster processing, more storage, and better graphics, which were (and are) all top-notch on the X-box, minus the storage.

So far I've only slept through my math class this year and I'm still getting A's. I guess I'm just good at math.

To all you people asking, 'Why bother owning an Xbox, it's just a PC?' there are a bunch of good Xbox-only games, such as Halo 2 and Fable that are definitely worth owning the system for.
What's wrong with Microsoft going into the console business, Nintendo is slowly digging their own grave, do you want Sony to be the only option? I hate Windows as much or worse than the next person, but the Xbox does have some good features, which will hopefully get improved upon in the next rendition.

I agree. I love my XBOX, and some of the best games I have played have been XBOX exclusive like Ninja Gaiden and Jade Empire. I don't understand fanboys. Why hate a system because of success. MS is a very successful company because they make good products. Sony and Nintendo also make great games. I hope that all three succeed because success for all three companies benefits the gaming market and us as gamers. Besides all that XBOX live will still be playable on the new system. I say bring it on.

Well, I'm not sure I'd go that far. Most of MS's software, IMO, sucks, their games that are made by third-parties, or independent studios that happen to be owned by MS are good, but Windows and Office I don't like.

Well, they helped the Personal Computer by releasing Windows as everyone laughed at it from their Amigas and Apples because of their advanced graphical OS's (even C128 had GEOS)

And Fable is coming out for PC over here
