Xbox 2 coming this year! Dumb or good?

To all you people asking, 'Why bother owning an Xbox, it's just a PC?' there are a bunch of good Xbox-only games, such as Halo 2 and Fable that are definitely worth owning the system for.
What's wrong with Microsoft going into the console business, Nintendo is slowly digging their own grave, do you want Sony to be the only option? I hate Windows as much or worse than the next person, but the Xbox does have some good features, which will hopefully get improved upon in the next rendition.

nintendo is very close to complete death in home console they may be able to hold on to a small portion of the handheld market

I think they always release new consoles too soon. Most of the time they seem to do it only months after programmers learn how to make the most out of the old console too. So most later old generation games are better looking than the early new generation games.

I heard the next Perfect Dark game will be a launch title, if it is ill get one just for that game. Im going where ever Rareware goes...

Not if Donkey Konga is anything to go by - and anyway, Rare just developed Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong the arcade game is Nintendo's (and ancient, obviously).

The Xbox 2 has only just recently (in the last few days) been confirmed as coming out this year, though most people expected this anyways, considering the specs were leaked LAST YEAR. Now consider this:

Perfect Dark Zero - scheduled to be shown at E3
Xbox 2 - was scheduled to be shown at E3, now it's also coming out this year as well!

This makes it pretty much certain that Perfect Dark Zero is gonna be the "killer app" launch title for the Xbox 2. It's about time, they've had 5 years to work on the thing. PD was actually a fairly deep game on the N64 (you could shoot out lights, trick guards, listen to them, lots of stuff "not in the manual") and to imagine nearly twice the development time for this one on a system 2 generations more advanced... the ming boggles! Personally I think it will kick Halo's a$$ but that's just me...

And "Xenon" is a much better name than "Xbox 360", which sounds like a skateboarding move. I've said for YEARS the Xbox 2 wouldn't be called "2" because it's less than a PS "3" but calling it 360 is just dumb. Sure Xenon is also a gaseous element, but who cares?

Xenon Will never be the real name for it, as it's the codename right now. Xbox 360 will be the real name, as it sounds equal/bigger than PS3. That's pretty much all there is to it.

XBOX 360 - The skill of launching yourself, on your skateboard, into the air, doing a full rotation, over your XBOX. But sadly your skills suck and you end up landing on, and smashing, your XBOX, what a shame...

This is why I walk, and why I don't buy Microsoft consoles.

EDIT -- And Xenon would be a better name, mostly because the majority of kids playing it would be like "whoa cool name! I dont even know what it is!" and do the odd \m/ sign.
