I've been pricing some online and its really about 200 to 400 dollars (and up)... Just curious what would you recommend for quality and price, I sort of would prefer a VIA board, hopefully with an EDEN-N, and CN400 chipsets just for power consumption size and performance

... Really hope you read this thread.
The place I got mine from no longer have any listed on their website, but you might email them and see if they have any others.
http://store.yahoo.com/microexpress/ Also, they turn up on ebay now and then.
I found it when I was searching for a mobile chipset PCI card that I might be able hack into controlling an LCD on Froogle, and the board turned up for $40 (a rare deal) with an integrated LCD controller. Typically they run in the range you mentioned, if you buy them off a supplier. They're used in special business environments and are made in smaller quantities than normal motherboards, as such they can and do charge out the wallet.
EBX formfactor SBC (Single Board Computer) is the type of board, BTW. Interesting formfactor, as it's designed to fit in a drive bay (which was a project I was working on earlier with this board).
I've even found a supplier that stocks a 6.4 inch lcd that will display 800 x 600 (PSone screen can only do 640x480), better yet its only 80 dollars (US i believe) still a sweet deal though.
Does the screen have a controller, or is it bare? TFT, DSTN, or STN? AUS or US dollars? Err... How about a link? I may have to sell my PSone screen and pick this one up instead.
TOTAL budget $1000 AUD... thats $770 for you americans... and dammit if i don't think this might actually work for that price.
Nice budget, should be doable with some effort.
