New General Discussion Forum

I'm setting up a new phpbbforfree forum. It's basically going to be general-discussion, with seperate sections for computers, video games, school, and other stuff like that. Save the man a few megs of bandwidth, post your general stuff there.

(I'll post a link when I'm done.)

What I have allowed:

Of course it's a spinoff. Would you still want all kinds of spam here?

Besides, I wanted to play with the phpbb console and not screw anything up.

peppers, you're telling me no one will use it and I'm using bandwidth to talk about it, right?

Guys.... Forums use close to NO bandwidth... Stop it with these save the forums, and save the bandwidth crap, because seriously, his website uses more bandwidth than these forums do. Most of you guys have the images cached, the avatars and signatures are hosted offsite, and all that's loading is simple text and database functions...

Get off it already.

The ads completley ruin it.

Then use Firefox and get the AdBlock extention. Block all those ads! (and annoying avatars.)

I realise the forums don't use much bandwidth. However, it's annoying to have to sift through spam to get to good informative threads. (And I am power-hungry.)

I did adblock, it still partitions the top 5/6s of the screen with frames for the ads, whether theyre there or not.

And bandwidth isn't so much a problem when you're just loading text.
