No picture on screen from N64

I've encountered a problem and would be grateful for any help! Since I'm sucky at modding and vice versa, consider me a noob, but I am learning.
I've wired the psone screen so that it gets the power it needs and it is working, I can change the contrast and volym as the bar is displayed on the screen.
However when I turn on the N64 after wiring the composite video nothing happens on the screen... When I turn off the n64 the screen flashes, but nothing more.

I missed your question.

Some crazy stuff going on with those wires.

My suggestion is to try to isolate the problem. To do this you could do one of two things:
1. hook your n64 up to a regular tv, if it works, then it is not an n64 problem
2. hook something that you haven't hacked up yet to the psone screen, if it works, then it is not a screen problem.

I think know what the problem is now, the n64 is probably fried since the RCP chip gets overheated quickly, but I've got another motherboard that I tried with that is working so it wont be an issue I wired another ground fom pin 4 on the screen to the n64 and it worked after that => (On the non-fried 64)

In the mean time, practice your solder skillz...
You will fry more then a N64 with that type of wiring
As a start, you should have soldered to the SMT pins and not where the header plugs in. Just get a really fine tipped' soldering tip, and your good to go. Or, you could have just soldered to the header that plugs in and breaks out the I/O for you with wire.

Yea I've only soldered once before in school, it was only LED's put together haha...
That was some time ago though and soldering electronics requiers skill. So I'll get some flux, which I haven't gotten my hands on here so I'll make my own and remove all the wiring so far and clean everything to redo it from the beginning! Now I've got an idea of in what order everything should be done and how to do it
