DS Phat playing gbc games mod Dissapointment

As of yesterday i did my phat ds mod to play gbc games.

i soldered the pionts from this guide:

i was following and
when i put it all back
i charged the battery for power then
i turn on the power and the green light comes on then shuts off.
i did some more working checking everything's fine,
nothing,

it didn't work, and i had soldered all the pionts correctly.
after my disappointment

i destroyed the ds but kept the top screen for another project maybe.

im worryed that i might make a mistake and the same could/might happen to my zcp. i hope not and won't let it happen.
but on my phat ds, i was very careful when soldering the points and such, why didn't it work?

my first mod and i failed because of something unknown.

I believe that this mod is a fake. I'm pretty sure this mod would've been all over these forums and others if it was real, considering it was first posted in 2004.

Sounds like you blew a fuse, remove the mod and look for a fuse replacement tutorial.

lol, i guess as much, look at the comments most of them are yay for li burns.
plus he has put the game in but he is probably running it from a slot 1 flash cart.
oh, that sucks i was had,
oh well.
i found a old style gba on amazon uk for 18 euro. so i can pay my gbc games i own.

im only upset that it didn't work, not about my ds phat.
i kept the top screen maybe to switch it with the gba one.
will this work?
i mean to have the gba have a front light?
