As I stated in the "Duct Tape" thread,

Now that we've all been scarred for life, let's rehabilitate our corneas by looking at this adorable picture of a kitten in a basket.

Much easier on the eyes than a middle-aged englishman in a towel. [shudders]

EDIT: \/ gannon, if you don't want to ban an IP, why not just delete the extra accounts, or send him an e-mail asking him which username he wants to keep?

ya know, I don't really like banning entire IP ranges of and ISP, but some people just seem to want it done...

Also, to help stop problem users who constantly create accounts with fake email addresses, I'm enabling user confirmation (new users have to click a link emailed to them....or something like that)

What if you have it set up so me or you have to look at the account. Though the email thing should work. Man, someone says hi and look at us! We're ready to ban him.

The "admins have to verify account" thing has driven me from forums before, don't do it, for the sake of popularity.

PHPbb needs a better confirmation/activation setup. Good thing it's open source! Someone here might be able to make it. Or go to phpbb.org or whatever it is and look for one.

Any way you put it, this is one exploit that has to be patched.
