My other thready likely won't happen, my mom says (again), that Ben's book is too expensive and she doesn't want me taking apart anything. This sucks. She sayed to read LOTR or something and do that.

I can however continue if you can kind of give me some descriptions of parts when I need it.

Why do they say you can't take anything apart? If it's your money, why can't you do with it what you please?

And when I looked at the title of this thread, all I could think of was the sesame street sketch on Chapelle's Show when the fake muppets sang about drugs and diseases. yuck. :6

$40 expernsive for a book? No paying $60+ for a book you'll be using for single quarter is expernsive.

As for your other problems. You might be able to squeeze through by using pics online (be sure to give credit).

well in that case Ben's book will not help with an XBp. But it will help you a lot with getting off to a good start with it. Maybe try something easier as a first portable though..? I'm in no position to say this though, because I have not done my first yet either

Read the Dune (6 books) series by Frank Herbert, or The Dark Tower (7 books) series by Stephen King. Each are better than LotR. If its for a report, then read the first of one of those, they dont have the "read all or none" requirement of the LotR books.

Dune is a pretty theological series too. I only read up to book 4 though. The 5th one doesn't seem too good.

Yeah, the plot kind of loses it as it goes on, especially considering Arrakis is destroyed. I think they're okay, still worth reading.

okay, an XBoxPortable seems kinda... well... the hard drive in it weighs as much as a VCSp... seriously, though, if you want to make a portable, go for the Atari or PSp... I'm having a blast with the VCSp, even if it did take me a week to track down engraving plastic...

Why make an XBp? Its too heavy to be really portable, unless you swap out parts.

It surely is. I read up to no. 6, and felt that only up to 2/3 were really worth reading. The first was magnificent; the rest, less so. I've been meaning to re-read book 1 for ages, it's been so long...
