So I have an old Windows 95 laptop and need a use for it...

My friend gave me an old Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 95 a while ago. The previous owner installed Duke Nukem 3D on it thankfully, giving it some use. I tried running an Atari 2600 emulator but it caused the computer to completely freeze, however I think I my emulator is too recent to run on it. Does anyone know of any computer or console emulators compatible with Windows 95, or does anyone have any ideas regarding something cool I could do with this thing? I'd rather not just let it go to waste. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow.

I think I could run z26 on my p90 at a decent rate. Other than that, not much. Couldn't even get a playable GB emu.

find an old guy like Marshal or me, see if you can ask for an emulator disk.

You should be able to run emulators like z26 and NESticle, but anything much newer than the NES and Atari 7800 will crawl.

Grab emulators that run on DOS, as those are what we used back in the day. You could even boot into DOS mode if you need a little more speed in them.

Wow, I'm guessing that finding decently optimized emulators must be a problem now, as GameBoy should pose no issue for a box fast enough to run Duke3D.

Off the top of my head, I used to use under 95 (all DOS versions):
Stella (Atari 2600)
NESticle (NES)
Colem (ColecoVision)
ZSNES (Super Nintendo)
NO$GB (Gameboy/Super Gameboy)

Good suggestions, thanks everyone ^.^ I have a disk somewhere with a few of those emulators, I'll get to installing em. Any older arcade emulators that could work with it?

An old DOS build of MAME should run, but you'll probably only be able to get games up through the mid 80s to run on it at full speed. You might also have trouble with vector games (Space Duel, Asteroids, etc), especially if anti-aliasing is on.
