Game Gear choke coil solenoid replacement

Post by com64 »

My Game Gear accidentally fell 6ft to the floor, and a solenoid on the power supply board was knocked right off. Part of the wire was ripped right out of it, so I'll have to replace it. Soldering one back on is easy, but I just don't know the inductance of the solenoid. On the circuit board, it's labelled "L2". The inductance is not labelled on the outside; it just says "TOKIN SBC9-680-152", which I assume is the model number and manufacturer. I can't really test the solenoid since a part of the wire is ripped out.

EDIT:
Okay, after HOURS of searching the Internet and struggling to navigate NEC's website, I've found out the value of the choke coil: 68mH.
Finally: the surface!
