my first n64 portable (problems)

do u guys know a way to relocate the cartridge where the game goes in with out soldering all of those pins? Is there like a plug I could get er something (please give me the link or something so i can find it if there is) How did u guys do it? Thanks! i really appreciate it!

there will be soldering even if you get the plug (IDE cable(s))

the soldering will be done to the board and the other end would plug into your cart slot

Unless you leave the expansion slot in. Then you can use headers and scsi cable to attach the cart slot. But it is big and bulky and frankly quite dumb. Learn to solder if you want to build a portable :)

hey i do know how to solder! (meany :P) ok enough two year old talk! haha! just wanted to know cause my soldering iron is giant and is just a pain! just curious... gosh! thanks anyways!

sorry to keep bothering you guys (im not completely hopeless. kinda haha) but what should i use for the case ive heard of tub aware (dont know how to spell) and ive heard of vacuum molding but vacuum molding seems like a pain (a pain in my wallet) any suggestions?

Vacuum forming isn't that hard or expensive(I think), but you do need to know how to work with wood and be relatively good at it.

my expansion pak came today and it's still coming up with a red screen! (RAWR!) any ideas i checked all the connection ill probably do it again and fiddle with it. Just let me know if you've had this problem or have any ideas for solution! thank you!
