Everything going good...

Just one problem... The walls end up slightly bigger than the case did.

I think I'll just make do. What do u guys think?
Also from now on I'm just going to have pololu cut my cases

Halfway there...

I like the clear look. My dad suggested painting the inside. That's a cool idea... We'll see

Also when you do a case like this it's a good idea to JBWeld the inner edge.

Got the rest done. Now all that's left is to put a couple walls on the cd tray/screen lid.
Then I have to get the buttons cut.
In the meantime more pics

More Progress!

Here's a total thickness side view

And a flush back view

Now I've got to draw buttons for pololu. Once I order that I'll start mounting everything in.
I can run the dreamcasts 12v line down to 5 right?
Might just get a 7.5v battery then...

Re: Hackmodford's Dreamcast Portable Comission
Yesterday I emailed Pololu another job. Basically just the buttons and the button guides.
Plus my mechanism for the shoulder buttons.
I expect it to cost maybe $20?

Ordered the rest of the case parts... once I have them I have no reason to procrastinate... except I'm going to need a lighter battery pack... and the hinges

Okay picture time!

That is a button guide. Keeps them strait and stops rotation...

Those are my shoulder button stacks

The mechanism guide... About 1" tall
Compressed

Open

And as a bonus me father is in the background.

Here you go! The mechanism! Just need to mount it on the backplate. But first I need to make the hole slightly bigger.
