On an old GB cart, I just took a file and made a flathead slot.

or you could cut the slot with a dremel, thats what i do with striped phillips heads.

lol sounds simple enough on my BROKEN GBA i killed it with a sledge hammer and a dremel well actually there was also a drill and jackhammer (we were removing rocks that day and we needed a break so i killed it then)

I really need to get my own dremel. When I need it, I have to go to school, and use the one in the electronics room. Anybody want to donate some money to a good cause, the "Give Dave a Dremel" fund.

sorry to bring up an old topic, but couldnt you put solder on the end of a soldering iron insert solder it into the screw as liqud, turn the soldering iron off, but not taking the soldering iron out, then use the soldering as a screwdriver to take the screw out

Most of us are too impatient to wait for a soldering iron to cool sufficiently in order to do that.

Possible if thermite is used.
