Was the orginal xbox a 32 bit console?

Now I know this is an ancient thread, but technically the xbox is 32bit, most x86 processors (architecture in PCs) prior to ~2006 are only 32 bit. In fact, 32 bit operations are used far more frequently than 64 bit ones even on the n64 (this is a common practice in RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing)). Since speed of processors has increased, bus size (32, 64, 128 etc) has not needed to increase much.

I like the response that says: "Considering the Nintendo 64 was 64 bits, I think the Xbox would have had a little more than 32...", what like 39? IIRC, I believe the Jaguar, which was *supposed* to be the first 64bit console used two 32bit processors

No, it was MUCH MUCH more than 32-bit...
They stopped referring to consoles in terms of 'bits' before the Sega Dreamcast came out.
