N64 portable question
Hey I have a question about the TI PTH0800 for the N64 portable. Does it matter what version it is? whether its the PTH0800W or WAH?
Re: N64 portable question

Re: N64 portable question
Do you still use the same size resistor as the original schematic?

Re: N64 portable question
One more question, what would be the best way to cool the N64? The OEM heat sinks have fallen off and ones disappeared, so I need to come up with a new way to cool the system. Can you use a small computer fan to cool the system??

Re: N64 portable question
best bet is to get some small efficient heatsinks, if you have good heatsinks and a small about of ventilation a fan is probably not necessaryninjamonkey wrote:One more question, what would be the best way to cool the N64? Last question (I hope): what is the best size battery to use? and what would I use to charge them?
And what are the plugs that I would want to use if I want to make an video and audio output port?

A 7.4v lipo cell OR two 3.7v in a 7.4v pack. at least 2500 mAh

If it is just audio and composite you only need 4 connections, but if you are making a port mine as well do the hole shebang and include external controller support as well. But if it is just a/v a usb plug to a/v plugs would be a nice home brew cable, and sufficient for the job

Re: N64 portable question
All lipo cells are 3.7v
Buy two 3.7v 5000 mAh cells from batteryspace.com with a 7.4v pcb and charger.
