I'll leave PSP surfing to another day, as when I tured it off, then then I turned it on and switched the WLAN swith off at the Sony screen, it froze at the settings scroll down. Then I turned it off, then on, and it was good.

And this scared me, so I deleted my 'Net' setting, and I am leaving this to another day, unless someone proves me that this does not kill your PSP in the long run (which I doubt, but from my frozen thing, that scares me, even though I would get another one from BestBuy for free.)

It can't kill your PSP.

Your PSP connects the the wipout pure site anyway. All that you are doing is redirecting it to your own site.

It's just using it's Wi-Fi, it's not a real hack. Sony said it is alright to use, but if you were to download a file (which you can't do, plus it wouldn't affect the PSP firmware) and if it did effect your hardware in a bad way, your SOny waranty would be voided (but not Best Buy, it's not physical damage) so yeah.

Don't worry.

Video Game Companies are pulling Sega maneuvers like

relasing two systems the Same year
(Sega 32X and Saturn) (nintendo DS and GBE)
Using 2 weak processors for a system for lowar cost of production
(Sega Saturn) (Sony PS2)
using same controller for next gen consoles
(sega Genesis/CD/Saturn)(Sony PS/PS2)
refusing console backward compatibility
(sega all)(nintendo all)

that is what i have observed

Very true. The DS was rushed through production to compete with the PSP.

Would you have bought a very very expensive PS2?

Sega: They had a good control layout and stuck with it. Sony: I can't think of another way to put together 13 buttons and 2 analog sticks without comprimising ease of use.
refusing console backward compatibility
(sega all)(nintendo all)
Sega: They really should have let you play older games on newer systems. Nintendo: there's the pirate connectors, but Nintendo really screwed themselves over by refusing backward-compatibility.

backwards complatiblity is all cool and everything, but why buy another console if it is just gonna hamper sales? Like, buy a Tristar 64, why buy a SNES or NES?

Well by the time the next console (N64) is released, I dont think the manufacturer (Nintendo) would expect much more profit from SNES, and especially not from NES.
