Making a portable

I don't have every part to make it yet, just missing the screen. I'm $47 too broke to buy one. x)
I'll be posting my little "worklog" here.

So, I have 2 questions.

I read that the N64 needs 3.3V AND 12V, So I'm confused when I see I only need 9V batteries. So I went ahead and bought 12V batteries.

What is the main problem people have with the N64? I mean the reason most of them get fried, so I can try to avoid that.

You can use as low as 7.4v on the 12v line.

The main reason the N64 blow up is short circuits when wiring the power and/or the cart slots.

Another question! What is the name of the plastic used to do Vacuum forming?

I saw it done on youtube, I forget the name of the video/creator.

Is this plastic's price reasonable?

It's called styrene IIRC.
