The little things

Post by RobbyTong »

I. I'm having two issues with a ps2 portable I'm working on:
1. I tried to integrate a relay into my portable so that the screen would turn on with the ps2(when you press the reset button). I used the 5v line from a usb port to activate the relay. however, when i actually turned it on, there SEEMED (I may be incorrect) to be too much draw and the unit wouldn't start. The screen would flash on, the ps2 would flash on but then it would shut down.

2. I need help the ps2 heating up. I took out all the metal of my ps2 slim and i feel as though that hindered the stock fan's ability to redistribute heat.

hey dude, nice ps2p, i watch that everyday.

15 minutes into a game, the disk drive's adjustments can distort the screen and even freeze the unit, are there any capacitors that i could put in to stabilize it?

+what's the effect of using a lower gauge of wire? (thicker). If i could get more amps out of thicker wire, then my ps2 wouldn't distort itself when its looking for power.
