HOUSEp (no, seriously!)

Post by SpongeBuell »

Well, I'm in a graphic arts class for the rest of the year, and one of the assignments was to make something with the laser engraver, the harder the better. The idea came to me: I'll make a model of my house! It won't be perfectly to scale, but relatively close, and the same shape. Since I have 2 basements, I probably won't do those (too hard to have it stay up on its own) but it'll still have a roof, chimney, doors, windows, etc.

Anyway, I'm pretty excited, since I finally figured out how to do what I want to do with this program, and it's looking awesome so far :D

They're called campers! :P

I built a plastic model of a local YMCA building in 3'rd grade. It withstood the sunlight of the lobby, but a couple of the Micro Machines cars I used in the parking lot got ripped off. Oh well. The funniest part was the people around the building. They were a mix of Micro Machines pit crew guys and tiny medival soldiers! I think I still have that model in the attic somewhere... I hope the Intellivision hasn't posessed it!

yep. It's on its side right now so it'll fit better. it's an odd little thing, there are steps on the side of it that go right to the window. Oh well, it makes for a good way to sneak out if the need arises ;) :P
