best battery life for an n64p??

12v line on n64 mobo can take 7.2v to 30something

the 12v line doesn't take less than 7.2v unless you do some kind of hack to make it 6v

i always switch the positive and have all the grounds tied together, this ensures that no one componet gets a different negative ground, and cuts down on possible interference

It is usually better to cut the line on the negative side, because the power flows - to +.

problem with switching the negative is , say you have your av ports all grounded to each other, and you turn off the main ground to your screen, chances are your screen will use the ground comming from the av to supply its power..., seen that happen so many times....

i found a power switch that has 4 wires sticking out of it so i will probably be able to switch - and +. the problem is i don't know which wires connect to which ones. the colors are white, blue, black, brown.

got that outa a powersupply right, old AT style...., umm, i think the wires are switched so that the white maches with the blue, and the black matches with the brown, tho id voltmeter it just to be sure

they recharge in 15 minz, the only downfall is that the charger is like 50 bux (canadian), but it does come with 2 batteries, 4 batteries will cost me another 29 bux (canadian, still). 200 mah rating thoe... am paying quite a bit thoe...

im also creating an external battery, torn from a drill batt. pack, for extended play, its a bit bulky, but it last a long time.

I use those batterys, they rock!
One caution: sometimes you charge them and they appear to be dead, no voltage coming out or anything. Fix it by sticking it in some device (pocket tv for example) with some good operating batterys, and leave it on for about 10-20 mins. After a while it will suddenly turn on.
I have no idea why they do that in the first place.

Also I would reccomend getting the 4 AA charger instead of only a 2 AA charger.
