Ps1 laptop- need help
I am making a ps1 laptop. I've been told that only screens that accept analog will work. Is that true? What's analog? My screen is an HPvs15. It only accepts VGA. Also how do I hack the VGA cord to accept a/v. Also I'm having trouble finding a good power supply around the house. Any help?

Well VGA is RGB. find the RGB Pinouts (there is a guide somewhere here) and wire it up to the correct pins.
Alternatively, just buy a converter if you can't...

not that simple im afraid. VGA does have rgb yes, but for just rgb to work your monitor will have to support Sync on green (which i doubt it does.).
Please check info before posting.

(Sorry Blaze,) Your wrong and correct.blaze3927 wrote:not that simple im afraid. VGA does have rgb yes, but for just rgb to work your monitor will have to support Sync on green (which i doubt it does.).

If you do it without the Sync, then you will get lines running up and down the screen.
You just need a few more components soldered to a Breadboard.

AWG 30 will do.PRThomas wrote:Ok what kind of wire do I use?
Just some standard wire. I mean, not too thick or else it will be impossible to Solder to the AV pins.
Then again, the thicker the less resistance in the wire...
Also again, to long in length and the signal will die and you will then not get any picture!
