SNESp RC battery life and switch problem
ive successfully wired my old snes ver. 1 to a 7.2 3300mah NiMH rc battery with a 3 way switch (on/off/on) only poroblem is it acts funny when tryin to turn it on, now the "right on" is to the dc jack and the "left on" is to the battery with the "middle" being power off. Now for some reason the machine turns on normally when i toggle the switch to center (off) then while the system is powered thru the cennter and i switch to on to battery (left) itll switch on but it seems to use a lot more power (screens twice as bright, LDO and metal sink gets pretty hot) now when i switch back from left toggle to middle toggle the screen doesnt power back on unless i switch it over to the DC power (right position) and back to the center, then it powers normally again. now ive sorta asked this question before and sory for the multiple posts but at the end of the day im guessing the range of cuases for the problem im having could be broad and this was just mainly a "wiring test" im planning on rewiring the whole unit when i finish my case and mod my psone screen. so hopefully when i do, the same problem wont come up. but the strange thing that ive just realized is that when i leave the battery connected to the unit its constantly drawing power, even with the sytem LED off its still drawing power cuz i can leave it toggled to the dc jack side for a few hours and my fully charged battery is juiced and out of charge. anyone else have any of these problems/ have any sollutions?
