Basically, I found a Zenith PS2 screen in my garage and decided I wanted to play games on the go. So now I'm making a PSOne portable. I'll keep people up to date, etc. This will probably be a simple project compared to some of the things people make these days, but I will be proud of it. Plus, it gets me a free Science Fair project for school. So yeah, discuss and tips and all that good stuff. This will be a SLOW project! I am not fantastic at electronics, so it will take me a while to puzzle this out. All I really need now is to buy a PSOne or SCPH-9000 series on the cheap and cut it up. I might even just use the original case if I get the 9k, that would save a lot of work if I get clever with it.
OKAY! I got the layout done. Basically. Obviously, this image is bad, and I will NOT use MS Paint to do the rest of my diagrams. I just wanted to get my idea down. Once I get the console I can get a scaled image done. But yes, I will be using the original 9000 series case as the case for my portable, with the insides completely rearranged. I will also use an innovative(in my opinion) dual battery system, where I use two Infolithiums that I can switch between when one dies. Nothing fancy, just a toggle switch and a low battery indicator.
