All throughout my life, I get these ideas, urges, and sudden interests in things that lead to obsession, sometimes for a few hours, others a few weeks, and some for months+.

It gets rather annoying at times, I have lost money and items because of it. Most of which, I look at and say "Why did I do that?"
This is exactly what happens to me, and I can't sleep at night, because I'm so excited.

I just finished a DJMAX Marathon.

I started playing Friday on the bus stop at 11:40AM. Then I missed the bus to college because I was playing the game so I arrived late (a little). :D Then I played more during my breaks then I came home at around 5:01PM then for some reason I played until 7PM where I had to eat dinner and then after that pulled an all-nighter from 7:40ishPM to 6:40AM. On and off, checking my mail on PS3 and IMs and stuff.

I got 64,581 Combo and I just broke it right now. No, seriously.

I think I spammed the heck out of Fermion 5BMX, played the easy songs on 4 Button mode (most of the time, which explained the time span it took) then I tried to FC the song in the image. I broke the last note. :x

I had a PSP charger and a Backup Battery handy.

I had the FEVER multiplier switched off throughout. I rarely use FEVER.

Trying to quit again since I'm in college which is more of a bad thing because I have even more free time than before to play. Damn friends getting me hooked on that crap! I will never forgive them. I haven't played in about a week though :P Your obsession sounds a lot more severe than mine. I don't have to play but I really like to.

Oh, and I also have an obsession with browsing /b/

props man, you got to learn to let go... I've not herd any thing from my brother since halo reach came out.

My obsession is Nerf.

I mod the guns, do paint apps, even do costumes to match said gun.
