hailraizer,

I'm very interested in both the screen modification and the battery pack update as well.

I do have a battery pack that can be used if that would help to defray that modification.

I'm sending you a PM with further details,

If anyone is still looking for the screen mod I would be more than happy to take over the job from Hailraizer. I have done around a small handful of around 10 for myself, friends, and at live mods at conventions (MGC). I have never done the battery mod so I am unable to provide that service at this time.

hail hopefully you do not mind me posting this here

Why don't you start your own thread for this service Wally? Easier than people having to look at mine and be confused.

I did the screen mod, but I end up with a screen without backlights O_o

I tried everything... Is there something that I missed???
The screen is working, it's just the backlight that doesn't work :(....

Any possible solution for this?
Thanks! :)

Edit: my first post! yay!

Re-check your wiring. Re-seat the lcd ribbon cable.

After that the only option is that somehow you fried the backlight.

I plugged another power cable on the ribbon where the backlight is coming from...
and it worked....

but when I put everything back... I made a short circuit

Now the screen does only show "rainbow stripes".
Any way to fix this?

99% chance it is fried. If re-seating the lcd ribbon cable doesn't help then it is toast.

Hello wallydawg.
I live in France and recently bought a Sega Nomad which is modified with mode button to switch from 60hz display to 50hz ans play european protected games, but it disables the 6 button mode...
The screen looks blurry and my battery pack is of course unusable.
I would like to have my Nomad modified with the screen and the battery pack mods.
As I am from France, would you accept to recieve my console (to USA) and to mod it?
How much would you make me pay for the shipping and the modifications?
Thanks a lot for your kind answer.
