Attempt to make a portable SNES

Hello everyone,

I have come across this website and I am very interested in all of the cool and inspiring projects going on, :) so I've decided to make an attempt to build a Portable SNES. The only problem is that I have a weak background in electronics. I know the basics, but I don't think I know enough to make one. I have read a few tutorials, however at some parts it gets a little confusing. Are there any easy to follow tutorials that are out there? I am just looking for the cheapest, and most simplest way to do this.

Thanks for the detailed list MrAfterFx. This makes it a lot easier for me to know how to start and what to get. :D Now if only I had enough money...

How is your SNESP turing out?
