Hi, I messed up my memory card slot A (lifted the pads with a drill....)
so my question is, can I just wire it to slot B and use that or will it pose a problem in any games?

I dont really understand what you messed up but.
If you destroyed the port?
Try to clean the area to a flat surface.
Trace the connection to another point on the board.
wire in a new port in that location.
mount the port in the location.
Done.
If You destroyed the card.
Take it to a specialize recovery expert.
OR
Goto the Internet and download saves for a new sd card.

The physical slots are identical, just wire slot b to where slot a was.

Yeah, I realise that, what I want to know is whether any games "need" the slot a to be used for saving, or can all games just use B happily? i have another spare gamecube, but would prefer to salvage this one
Re: OOPS! Gamecube Memory card slot
Only games I can think of are mario party 7 and odama, which use mem slot b for the mic.(slot a for the memory card)

OK, Thaks, I will try salvaging slot A if i can't never mind, as neither of those games will work on my portable as i am not going to have a slot B
