Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

What's the standard so far on battery life people have gotten so far making their n64p's?? I believe it is around an hour or so but I was hoping there is more somehow. :)

Any high capacity battery gives you more time. You might need a backpack, but if you carried a few siries of Ds in parallel, you would get tons of play time.

I've averaged about an hour and a half for mine on a 2000 mAH battery :).

POD = doomportables?

If so , I can't get in :(
I found the old site but I could not find anything really useful there.
if that trick with the hosts file works, i'll have to wait cause I'm in school now.

Yep POD is "Portables of DOOM!" same as doomportables. :) Also, the domain name ran out a few days ago, but has since been renewed. Wait a few days. It'll be up soon.

It's still bringing up one of those useless spyware directories. :(

For now, go to The Doomportables mirror

Yes. Ds last far longer than AAs. I built an external D battery pack for my GBC in 6'th grade, it ran for about 4 days nonstop (I forgot it was on.).

Most batteries have a huge difference in capacity. I took some shots of 4 different lines of batteries that I got from Energizer.com:

Energizer NiMH (no difference between AA, C, and D):

Energizer Alkalines (use 2 #521s for a few weeks of play time :D ):

Energizer e2 Alkalines:

There are some real nice 10000mAh D NiMHs if you search around a bit though :)

Yea. I meant to put "Energizer NIMH", but missed a word. I will change it now.

i have a couple questions
1. does anyone know wahat kind of C batteries and how many ben used
2.does anyone know how long his portable ran
3.could you recharce C' while they are in the console the same way you could charge AA's
4. can the N64 and psone screen take more than 12 volts without using a regulator
i know the last question is probably dumb but if someone could tell me it would help
when life gives you lemons make flux
