Noob lookin for help

Post by T Warmage T »

i know you guys probably get guys get guys like me asking me for help all the time but im serious about becoming a hardcore modder or at least a decent one, so can u hold off on the put down n help out a guy who just wants to have his own portable gamecube... I kno, its an extremely hard project that requires a lot of experience but i really want to try :D ... Ill be honest i need help with the most basic of basic. Such as finding out how to get and use the materials, and learning the basics of how electronics work...such as wiring and such

if ur a veteran modder lookin to show a noob the ropes awesome :) but if ur a guy wishing all noobs should shutup and die then same to u :x , remember everyone is a noob at somepoint

Thanx for any thing n e one can teach me

not sure if you and reapr are one and the same, but take a look at what I posted in my response to reapr and you will get the basic idea for what you will need to do before you start looking to get a case together. Also please read the forums for other worklogs from people who have completed a successfull handheld, and those who have failed so that you can learn from what was done right as well as what was done horribly wrong.

well im not reapr :) , i just found this site out of nowhere, but i feel that portabalizing is where i wanna start. I have been reading some of the forums and ive figured out that the best way to start is to gather materials and i wanna kno where and how to start with even that step. Some of the forums talk about how a case should be one of the last steps but a lot of modders always mention it first in their tutorials im thinking i need to start with getting the cubes and controllers first (duh) but after that what else do i look for a screen, some LEDs, a battery. Not only that but i need to kno how to look out for the gamecube revisions ive heard about like DOL0001(which i dont kno what that even means). I guess im just stuck in that beginners rut, especially when i dont kno how to even decipher wiring.

Thanks for replying harlequin
