along with adding a front light I decided to paint my GBC, I have metal hammer Grey, it's pretty sweet and gives it a metal texture, I practiced painting my battery cart and it looks cool, what I was wondering was what should I do when I get to the front of it? I'm gonna take it all apart but how do I get the screen out?

Once you take the guts out, the screen itself goes with them. To pop out the cover, just apply pressure from inside the case carefully, and it should pop right off. It can be replaced after you paint with double-sided tape or glue.

Okay thanks, I was hoping to get it off and be able to put it on without an adhesive aid, as I heard somewhere that it stays sticky, perhaps this is not the case...
it can remain sticky, it just depends how well you take care of it while it's off. if it sits out too long while not protected, then the sticky will get covered in dust and debris and won't adhere anymore.

Cool, thanks, where do you suggest putting it to avoid this?

how about one of them plastic sandwich bags?
not really for a couple reasons:
1 - it doesn't seal to keep air out
2 - the plastic is much flimsier and will not come off from the sticky part of the screen protector; it will instead just rip

Okay, The ones we have are really tough, they aren't like that cling film stuff you get, and it have a kinda locking thing...
Other question is, should i tape up the +/- metal pieces in the battery compartment?
Why not just remove them? They pop out pretty easily. You don't want to get paint on them, though. They make the best contact when clean. If you do try to tape around them, it's gonna look like you did, you'd be better off taking them out entirely.
Have you even opened the GBC yet? You should have seen how easy the contacts are to remove. This really isn't rocket science.

Yeah thanks, I'll do that, No I haven't opened it because I've been waiting for the tri-wing, I should have it tomorrow.
I just didn't want to have all the equipment then have to ask loads of questions.
