My First Portable GC

Post by Zeflis »

As the title implies, I am making a portable GC.

The only thing is; I need some advice.

I've almost 100% decided to use the Intec LCD Screen, but i'm unsure of what batteries to use. I found these and would like some advice as to which would be better.
Also if you think there are even better batteries out there I would like to know about them.

Progress:
I have started to make the case of the system. I don't have the Gamecube that i'm going to take apart but will very soon.

I've also put the stripped GC cont. together with the Videonow front cover that i'm using as the general case. I'll get more pics soon

The actual case of the Videonow, i'm assuming, will hardly show any resemblance and the back will probably be missing or split on two levels.

I have a feeling that a N64p would be easier to jam into the Videonow

I have looked on Batteryspace.com but most of those are fairly expensive and i don't have a lot of money to work with.
That's why I wanted to use the Intec screen because I found one for 20$ as opposed to the 75-100 for the PSone screen.
What is so bad about the that screen anyways? :?

It's junk.

You can get a Zenith (Psone) screen for $43 shipped on Ebay.

Those batteries are junk.

You are going to have to spend some money to get a half decent portable.

Could someone give me a few suggestions as to some decent batteries?
Preferably ones that are as small as possible but are around or under $30-35.

I thought about AAs but wouldn't they take up a lot of space in the portable?

If i was to use dvd player batts, what kind of dvd player would be good, or can i get just the batts on ebay?

No one ever commented on this battery pack from batteryspace

I know the GC takes quite a bit of power but i'm hoping this would be enough

Does anybody know which wires go to which pins for this controller?

Use these batteries:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/DLG-RC-Battery-25C-5 ... 3586wt_911" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(hopefully they're actually 4000mah for the money)
What do you mean by "which wires go to which pins"?
