DS Controller Case Mod

Post by jobsta »

Hey Guys, this is my first post!
I am going to "Mod" My Ds Lite case, and by "Mod" Im not going to use a case at all.
I am using an old Very Very Chunky PS2 controller for the Guts, and i have some arc shaped plastic supports to hold the Top screen at an appropriate angle.
I will try and make Use of the analog sticks, but im not sure lol.
I will cut holes for the charging port, Headphones etc etc.
The only disadvantage will be the fact that it wont be able to close :/

Please Leave replies and CONSTRUCTIVE comments, as this is my first time here lol :D
And by the way i'm 15, so i cant use any form of nuclear powered tool :)

It sounds great dude! Yeah, I'm not sure how you could make use of the analogue sticks, but I'm sure there are things to do with them!

What I was gonna suggest is perhaps if you get some hinges and i dunno... a small top case, similar to the DS's top screen holder then you could attach the hinges and it would be closable..

Seeing as this may be your first mod? there are some cool things you can do that aren't tooo difficult, e.g. LED lighting.
You seem to know what you're talking about so it may not be your first :)

The most valuable advise I can give is, Have Fun! You don't want to spend weeks being miserable and finding that you didn't do enough pre-planning only to regret having made it in the first place, even though it makes me sound like a bore, Planning is key! I'm pretty sure anyone here will back me up on this :)

Good Luck!
