Connecting PS2 to PSONE screen

Post by joshwaan »

Hey Guys

I tried to use the search button before posting, no really giving me a straight answer. thought I better post.

Trying to connect my NTSC n64 and my PAL modded PS2 to a PSONE screen. So I have a PSONE console and US screen which work fine, it looks sweet I just got it today from ebay.

Now I can't seem to get my n64 NTSC console to work on the screen.

Here's what I'm using atm

Good quality 3.5mm Connector to 3 RCA gold connects. http://www.crest.com.au/product/XVDC13" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3x Female Female connector

So I run the AV 3.5mm jack into the back of the PSONE screen and hook up the N64 lead to the female Female connect R,Y,W connected.

N64 boots I can hear sound it put in a out like there's a problem, but I even tried a different 3xRCA to 3.5mm lead and still same result.

Same pretty much happens with my PAL PS2 modded console also.

Any help guys?

Thanks

Josh

Hey,

This post is hard to understand - but...

You should be getting a signal at least. Even Black and White if it is PAL to NTSC.

What Mod did you do to the Screen and or Console?

Thanks.

Hi sorry

Yeah so I have a NTSC PSONE screen, hooking up a NTSC n64 via AV cables and no picture. Image

I hear sound but it drops and and carrys on. The PSONE screen works great with the PSONE console hooked up.

Using Goldeneye as the game and have expansion pack in there also.

Oh with the PSONE it's NTSC of coarse but I'm using my PAL 7.5V adaptor which should be fine.

Ok, that adaptor may be putting the YELLOW (Being Video), through a different sector on that Audio Jack plug.

I am not sure about this plug is all...

Not an audio jack, an A/V jack that sends out composite video and stereo audio.(as you can see) It's probably(possibly not) the same type the psone screen uses, but there's generally one type people see, and it's compatible.

Yea, your best bet is to solder directly to the PSone Screen MoBo with the AV cables out - or, better yet. Design your own plug system.
