How to make : USB LAN adapter?

Just wondering if it would be possible to make one for the Wii.

If you can get your hands on the right converter chip, it is theoretically possible. Only certain ethernet/USB adapter chips are recognized by the Wii's software. That is why some third party adapters will work and others won't. I don't remember what chip it is, though.
