testing a motorola droid?

Post by stuntpenguin007 »

I just found a motorola droid (A855), but it's pretty badly damaged. The screen is bent, the glass / digitalizer is cracked, the top half is not attatched to the bottom half, there's no battery, and the housing looks pretty bad too.

I don't think it would be worth it to fix, unless I found some dirt cheap non-oem parts. My question is:

Is there a way to test out the motherboard portion of the phone keeping in mind that I don't have a screen for it? If the motherboard isn't working, then it's absolutely not worth fixing.

You could always charge it and use a voltmeter to see if it is alive. I'm not sure of the model check for charging light. sync it to your PC
If at first you don't succeed... Call it version 0.5
