finishing up my case today, except for button holes. it turned out to be a real hassle filling in the whole bottom and sides. gonna sand it down and spray some primer on to it to see how well i did. but i don't think any one cares because only bots read my thread.

Finished the case except for button and analog holes. No as awesome as I was hoping but still good. I had to add some scrap plastic to the bottom because it was slightly hideous but it actually turned out ok. I'll post pics as soon as m computer is fixed. how can you not have an N64 cart  ..here are some measurements:

width: 11.5cm ..or.. 4.5 inches
height at the center, so the highest point is: 7.5cm ..or.. 3 inches
height at the side, so lowest point is: 6.3cm ..or.. 2.5 inches
depth: 1.7cm

Haha, it's waaayy more logical to get all your insides working before doing the case :? I guess if you build your case in a way that you can modify it easily it should be fine though

i found it more logical to build what i have before trying to build what i have not, so ha!
and haven't you noticed it's just a box with a hole cut into it? super easily modified.

guess it is logical in that way, but it's easier building something to the size of things you have siting in front of you
but I guess while you don't have the insides you may as well play around with the outsides, guess your right about it being easily modified. hope it all works out :D

I've also been reading your thread, and I like your case so far! When you get all your internals, though, take the time to plan everything out before wiring it all up. If things aren't oriented well, you could find yourself needing more room. For example, the expansion pack sticks vertically out of the motherboard, and and if you don't utilize the space above it (unless you're brave and want to try relocating it), that's a lot of wasted space. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Agreed, planning is VERY important. In my portable, to get around relocating the expansion pack, I've just got my cartridge slot on that side of the board too. As the expansion pack doesn't stick up much higher than the depth of a cartridge

please do not lecture me about planning. you should see my room full of notebooks, then you can talk to me about planning.

calm down, no one is lecturing you. we are only trying to help because we know from our own past experiences that planning is vital to a successful project, and if you have already planned, then great.

LOL I didn't plan crap on the QUAD64. I just cut and bondo'd. It turned out fine, though. :P
