im planning on putting a gba inside a n64 controller shell ihave lyeing around from my failed n64p project. :cry: any suggestions on how to make the gba slightly smaller?

If someone could answer this question : "Is the gameboy multiple layered?"

If not then you could cut the board and resolder the connections, in turn, halfing the length of the board.

sp or gba?

cus im sure the gba cound fit nicly in a n46 controller, an SP would fit snugly under the screen (if you had an sp you would only have to worrie about the battry bay)

GBA would most likely fit inside an N64 controller

But here is a better idea, why don't you fit your GBA inside an N64 and use the n64 controller as the GBA controller :wink:

i think he wasnts to put the gba inside the n64 ontroller and use the controller to play th4e gba games. I'm sure its difrent some how.

I tried and you would have to remove some of the supports inside.

i konw you guys are gonna yell at me, but how would you move the start and select buttons? would you just solder switches to the metal leads?

I think that would work. Do you have your gba opened? If not, I know how without the tri-wing screw driver. :D

I bent a cheap flathead screwdriver with a hammer and vice.

Before I used a box cutting knife, just spun it around and around and around...

I just use a drill to drill the heads off the "inverted Hex" screws.

An entire GBC and 3 carts have been converted to Philips Head screws!

I used a flat head screw driver with a head small enough to fit in one of the three slots and pushed down hard and turned. It also works for those screws with triangles in the heads.

thats what i did
it was already taken apart but i was stupid and put it back together with the og screws. and it was my friends screwdriver
and if you want to talk about tri-wing screwdrivers, theres a whole thread about it (its far back somewhere)
