Best way to solder on video and audio for psone screen

I've kinda reached a stopping point in my progress (in building a SNESp) because I'm struggling to keep wires soldered to the little dots provided for soldering video and audio to the psone screen (the ones right at the bottom - see pic).
I was wondering if anyone with experience here could give me some advice about this.

Also, I was reading Ben's book and am a little confused about providing power to the screen. I have a 7805 with about 7.5 V going into it and the +5 V going to the right pin on the SNES mobo. Does the 5 V go to the screen as well or is it the 7.5 V?
Ben's book indicates that there's a dot on the screen board that a wire with 7.2 V goes to. What is this?

Those pads on the back are testing pads, and eventually will lift off the board. Erlex has a great picture that shows where everything can connect to on the back of the screen:

Just ignore the stuff in red, blue, or green.
