are these Parallel Port Adapters cd64 exclusive?

Does anyone know if the adapter in the following links is just a common parallel port adapter? Or was it only made by UFO company for the cd64? I need to get one, and if they're not for sale anymore, I'll just build one myself with schematics I found online.

Try a full 25 pin serial cable NOT a null modem cable.

The schematic has active parts in it, so a cable alone isn't going to work. It seems likely that they were referring to the cable going from that adapter, not a replacement for the adapter itself, when they were talking about null-modem versus straight through.

You're likely going to have to build the circuit in the schematic, as that seems to be for CD64 only.
